October 3, 2013 – Z-AXIS president Michael Allen has formed a private New York corporation, Z-AXIS Inc., and has a definitive agreement to buy the Ontario County business from its parent corporation, Video Display Corporation (VDC) of Georgia, as VDC announced today.
The purchase includes Z-AXIS’ 32,000 square foot building containing its headquarters and manufacturing operations near Rochester, NY, and all of the equipment and inventory. The local management team and all employees will remain on staff.
Michael Allen explains: “Local ownership is a goal we’ve been working towards for several years. We’re excited to have even greater latitude to focus on the business opportunities that make the most sense for us, to keep our profits and decision-making local, and to continue on our growth path here in Western New York.”
